Do all new machines fulfill the requirements, as assured by the applied CE-mark?
The testing and certification body of the Expert Committee foodstuffs industry has used their experiences of their own testing work to have a look at the safety situation of the market of the food processing machines and packaging machines which we placed on the market.
The result: Not always the CE-mark keeps what it promises. A lot of new machines have extensive safety related deficits.
The situation with tested machines, which have a significant less safety related risk, is much better. The observation of independent body showed that the safety related risk of tested products is reduced by the factor of 13 in comparison to untested products.
